About Willie

Hi, I'm Willie Herath, co-founder of Filming for Charity and a lifelong visual storyteller driven by a deep love for Jesus Christ.

I am passionate about using film to help nonprofits share their world-changing missions with a wider audience... a drive that also fuels my role as Operations Director for Wells 4 Wellness, a clean water nonprofit founded by my mom that my family and I have supported from the very beginning.

I've always been fascinated by human connection with each other and with God; that focus grew immensely during my years serving as a Youth Pastor, running a college apologetics ministry and maintaining ReadySetQuestion.com.

My creative journey has taken some amazing turns over the years. I've worked in front of the lens as a commercial actor, published books on Amazon, released original music on Spotify, and I still regularly shoot as an approved creator for Getty Images and iStock.

Now living in Salt Lake City with my wife, I pour all of these diverse experiences into my production work... giving me the empathy, faith, and creative vision to truly capture the heart of every project we take on.
